« Mortgage Loan Limits

This is a Loan Limit Finder based on the official 2009 conforming and FHA loan limits. The list is complete, sourced from Fannie Mae and FHA. "Loan limits" are the maximum allowable loan sizes for Fannie Mae-, Freddie Mac- and FHA-bound home loans.

2009 conforming loan limits and 2009 FHA loan limits vary by county, based on median home sales prices.

With the passage of 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the government also retains the right to single-out high-cost "sub-areas" within a county for loan limit increases. In general, mortgages in excess of conforming loan limits are considered "jumbo".

To find a conforming loan limit and FHA loan limit, select the state and county.
